iOps360 uses cost centers to organize staff and schedules into organizational units. Schedules can be created and published for each cost center independently allowing you flexibility and customizations.
Cost Center Components
Cost centers allow you to organize the following items:
- Staff
- Schedules
- Bases and Units
- Shift Templates
Cost Centers – Staff
Staff can belong to one or more cost centers. When editing the schedule, only users that belong to the selected cost center will be available for open shifts, availability, etc. Staff can only see the schedule of the cost center(s) they belong to.
Cost Centers – Schedules
Schedules can be created and published by individual cost center or several at once. Editing of the schedule by a specific cost center will filter the units and staff accordingly. Leave hours will be awarded to full time staff once any schedule has been created for that month/pay period.
Cost Centers – Bases and Units
Each Base / Station is assigned to one cost center. Units / Positions are then assigned to a Base / Station. This allows the schedule to be organized on each level into a cost center. While users can belong to multiple cost centers, units and bases must belong to only one cost center. If a unit is moved to another cost center, assigned users will be automatically granted access to that cost center also.
Cost Centers – Shift Templates
Shift templates are used when staff work multiple units and/or hours, giving you the flexibility to design your own patterns easily. Shift templates are assigned to one cost center but do allow units that may belong to another cost center. This is done to allow for maximum flexibility and customizations.
