📸 2026 Photo Calendar Contest

Thank you for all the great submissions for the photo contest. The winners have been decided and will be announced soon! We will be mailing out the calendars all agencies shortly!

đź•’ Time Card User Groups

We’ve enhanced Time Card User Groups to give you more control over leave access. You can now allow or restrict specific leave categories based on group membership — for example, contract staff can be blocked from using “Vacation” leave, while non-contract staff retain access. Additionally, you can set limits on how many users from each group can be off at the same time — such as allowing only 2 Admin staff off simultaneously, but up to 10 Firefighters.

🗂️ Leave Categories

Leave categories now support two new features:

  • You can mark whether a leave type counts toward the maximum number of users off. For instance, “Bereavement” might not count, while “Sick” and “Vacation” do.
  • Each leave category can now have a default hours type. So when someone selects “Vacation,” it will automatically pull from their Vacation hours balance.

đź“© Time Off Requests

Staff can now include additional supervisors in their time off notifications — beyond their primary supervisor. This is useful for keeping admins or other shift leads in the loop when someone requests time off.

đź“… Fiscal Year Settings

We’ve added a Fiscal Year setting that lets you issue leave hours starting in any month of the year. For example, if your fiscal year begins in October, you can now allocate hours accordingly — no need to wait for January.

🗓️ Schedule Day View

We’ve made several usability improvements:

  • You can now drag and drop leave/time off entries directly on the schedule.
  • Leave categories are color-coded for quick visual reference.
  • Scroll bars have been added to the positions/events area to make drag-and-drop easier. Users can disable these scroll bars individually by clicking the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the schedule.

📊 Bids

We’ve added a secondary sorting option for staff bids. You can now sort by Hire Date and then by the number of hours worked this year. We’ve also added a sort option based on hours worked during the current fiscal year.

🧰 Inventory Work Orders

Previously, when fulfilling an inventory work order, iOps would add missing items to the work order. Now, it not only fulfills missing items but also replaces expired or expiring items once the full quantity is reached — making inventory management more proactive.

👤 Employee Tracking

We’ve added a new feature that allows users to acknowledge events. This helps confirm that staff have seen or responded to specific tracking entries.

📝 Scheduling Leave

If a scheduled event includes notes and the user is moved to leave, those notes will now carry over to the open shift created by the leave — ensuring important context isn’t lost.

⏱️ Overtime Periods

We’ve introduced Overtime Periods to support more flexible overtime calculations. This is especially helpful if your agency follows FLSA rules — for example, calculating OT on a 27-day cycle while your pay period is 14 days. If you need help setting this up, reach out to any iOps360 team member.

🗓️ ICS Integrations

We’ve introduced another agency wide ICS integration where you can choose to include or not include Open Shifts in the feed. This is useful if your agency distributes the ICS feed to Outlook calendars or other organizations such as the 911 centers.
