iOps360 And Active911 Integration

iOps360 can integrate with Active911 to pull real-time dispatch information, call responses, out the door times, and hydrant map data. By linking your schedule, operations, and CAD information from Active 911, you are able to see call volume analysis, schedule planning, and staff activity from one simple to use platform. Also, the status board will show call alerts, mapping, and out the door times.

Active911 Configuration

Integrating with Active911 requires two simple steps. First, we will have Active911 send a real-time notification to iOps360 when a new alert is received. Second, we will authorize iOps360 to watch your call responses. Both steps are required for the correct operation and does not create any Active911 charges/user accounts.

Active911 Dispatch Alert (Step 1)

First, we will create an “Integration” in Active911 to send call alerts to iOps360.

  1. Log into Active 911 using an Administrator account.
  2. Click on the “Agency” tab.
  3. At the bottom, click “Integrations” -> “Add New“.
  4. Select “Other” as the Service.
  5. Enter the name “iOps360“.
  6. Copy & Paste “https://sch.iops360.com/Active911Receiver/api/active911” without the quotes.

Active911 Call Responses (Step 2)

Next, we will authorize iOps360 to see your call responses.

  1. Log into iOps360 and click the “Resources” menu and “Active911“.
  2. If this is your first time setting up Active911, the setup window will automatically appear and proceed to Step 2. Click the link “Authorize Token Access“.
  3. If you are upgrading or renewing your tokens, click the button “Upgrade Active911 Tokens” or click the Refresh Key token.
  4. Follow the steps to log into Active911 and authorize iOps360 to see Read your call information. Once completed, you will be automatically returned to iOps360 and receive the confirmation message.

Active911 Renewal

The integration is good forever, but each year we will repeat step two to re-authorize iOps360 to see your call responses. We will send you a notification when this is needed.

  1. Log into iOps360 and click the “Resources” menu and “Active911“.
  2. Click on the “Upgrade Active911 Tokens” and follow the steps.

Troubleshooting

If you are Not receiving alerts on the Status Board and no calls are being shown in the Active911 portal

If no recent calls are showing in the Active911 section of iOps360 and new alerts are not being shown on the status boards, This means Active911 is not alerting iOps360 when new calls are begin dispatched. To resolve this issue, repeat the steps in “Active911 Dispatch Alert (Step 1)” above.

If you are Not receiving alerts on the Status Board and calls ARE being shown in the Active911 portal

If calls are showing in the Active911 section of iOps360 but new alerts are not showing on the status board, this means your status board does not have push notifications enabled. You can verify this by looking at the status board and notice a small Red dot after the City, State at the top of the status board. To correct this, go to the status board computer/device and click the lock icon in the url (www) bar. Select “Allow” next to “Notifications“.

If you are receiving alerts on the Status Board and calls ARE being shown in the Active911 portal but no call responses

If calls are showing in the Active911 section of iOps360 but no call responses, we need to re-authorize iOps360 to follow your call responses. Repeat the steps in “Active911 Call Responses (Step 2)
